I realy have lived in a cave for quite some time, though ive also lived in a franciscan monastary, a log cabin in the mountains, and a completly underground house. I work in stone, clay, wood, glass past (not blown)as well as oil and acryilic. I have also woked a forge (yes the kind with a bellows and anvil) while living on a ranch.

African-American Perspectives On Film Series Opens April 1 At West Las Vegas Arts Center

Documentaries with an emphasis on dance are featured in the African-American Perspectives on Film series, which will be shown on two Saturdays in April at the West Las Vegas Arts Center, located at 947 West Lake Mead Boulevard. Each film begins at 3 p.m. Admission is free. Call (702) 229-4800 for information.

On April 29, “Dance Black America” highlights African-American dances and dance companies that performed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Festival. It includes dances from the cakewalk to the contemporary works of Alvin Ailey, with performances by American Dance Theatre, Mama Lu Parks Jazz Dancers, and Garth Fagan’s Bucket Dance Theatre.

The film is presented by the Cultural Affairs Division of the city of Las Vegas Department of Leisure Services.
